Ultra-Scan has gathered a talented and dedicated management team with subject matter expertise in biometrics as well as years of experience in technology, hardware engineering, software development, customer care and sales. This team is focused on understanding and meeting the needs of our valued customers and delivering real world solutions that meet demanding identity management requirements.

	Founder, President and Chief Technology Officer John K. Schneider, Ph.D. Dr. Schneider is a co-founder of Ultra-Scan and has earned a worldwide reputation as a pioneer in the use of ultrasound for fingerprint identification and security systems. He has received several patents and various recognition for his work. In addition to his position at Ultra-Scan, Dr. Schneider has been a member of the teaching staff in the Department of Electrical Engineering at the State University of New York at Buffalo since 1989.Before co-founding Ultra-Scan, Dr. Schneider was with Calspan Corporation, where he served on a number of key projects including the Space Shuttle and redesign of the Automatic Fingerprint Reader System (AFRS), which is still being used by the FBI. At Ultra-Scan, he continues to work closely with various government agencies such as the National Institute of Standards and Technology, the FBI, the Central Intelligence Agency, the Department of Defense, and the National Security Agency. Dr. Schneider holds a BS, MS, and Ph.D. in Electrical and Computer Engineering all from the University of Buffalo.
	Executive Vice President - Strategic Planning Bryan Schutjer Bryan Schutjer joined Ultra-Scan's management team in 2002 and is responsible for focusing Ultra-Scan’s business strategies toward maximizing market opportunity, technological differentiators, and financial return. Prior to joining Ultra-Scan, Mr. Schutjer spent 19 years of his executive career in the fields of transportation, finance and technology, most recently serving as Senior Vice President at Homestore, Inc., a leading supplier of online media and technology solutions for the real estate industry. His professional experience ranges from leading early stage high technology firms to the management of large divisions within publicly traded corporations. Bryan earned his BA degree in advertising from Southern Methodist University.
	Senior Vice President - Corporate Affairs Michael Amalfi Mike Amalfi became a member of Ultra-Scan’s management team in 2003, but his ties with Dr. Schneider date back to the founding of the company more than a decade ago when he signed on as one of Ultra-Scan's early investors. A well-known business leader in upstate New York, Mr. Amalfi was CEO of Amalfi Supermarkets in Rochester. His varied background also includes a range of experience in healthcare advocacy with many of the nation's leading hospitals. He currently serves on the Board of the University of Rochester Medical Center and is Chairman of the Board of the Golisano Children's Hospital in Rochester. Michael holds a BA in business from the Rochester Institute of Technology.
	Vice President - Operations James A. Miranto Jim Miranto came to Ultra-Scan in 2003 and serves as Vice President of Operations, with responsibility for day-to-day operations including information technology, customer care and service and quality, technical support, manufacturing, and facility and office management. Before joining Ultra-Scan, he held similar positions with several technology companies, including most recently Reciprocal Inc., which provided comprehensive business-to-business secure e-commerce services for digital content distribution over the Internet. Jim has spent that past 18 years developing, installing and operating highly reliable, state-of-the-art data centers for various customers. Prior to working in the computer field, he worked as an Engineer at Moog, Inc. where he designed and tested computer controlled systems for injection molding machines. Jim holds a BS degree in Electrical Engineering from the University of Buffalo.
	Vice President - Field Operations Leonard Pratt Len Pratt joined the company in 2000 and serves as Vice President of Field Operations, with responsibility for the delivery and deployment of Ultra-Scan’s biometric solutions as well as marketing and public relations activities. Prior to joining Ultra-Scan, he held key positions with the Eastman Kodak Company in Rochester, NY that included managing Kodak’s Law Enforcement Marketing Program and managing customer and business support operations in Kodak’s Commercial & Government Systems Division. During his 23 years of service as an active and reserve intelligence officer with the US Air Force and US Navy, he held leadership positions in a variety of national-level intelligence assignments. Len holds a BA degree in Psychology from Syracuse University.
	Vice President – Software Development David Bartnik Dave Bartnik came to Ultra-Scan in 2002 and leads the design and implementation efforts for Ultra-Scan’s identity management software systems. Throughout his career, he has managed large scale software projects from DoD systems in the Aerospace industry to state-of-the-art handwriting recognition systems for the US Postal Service and other postal agencies throughout the world. In addition to his management duties during this time, he served as a Senior Research Scientist guiding researchers in developing document recognition and fingerprint identification systems. At Ultra-Scan, his team focuses on developing identity management systems that seamlessly integrate with customers' legacy software and infrastructure. Dave holds a BS degree in Computer Science from the University of Buffalo.
	Vice President – Finance Alan D. Jankowski Alan Jankowski joined Ultra-Scan in 2007 and serves as Vice President of Finance with responsibility for company finances, accounting, contracts, government compliance, investor relations and human resources. Before joining Ultra-Scan, Alan held key positions at General Dynamics, Advanced Information Systems Business Unit where he had responsibility for all areas within Accounting and Finance during his 26 years there. Alan's background also includes experience in public accounting where he served as independent auditor for many customers. Alan holds a BS degree in Accounting from Canisius College and has earned his CPA and CMA certificates.
