Thousands of Ultra-Scan fingerprint readers have been installed and operated around the world for many years, including medical applications in South Africa and Chile that succeeded in imaging and identifying the fingers of young children that could not be served by any other means.  From outdoor, all weather identification of commercial drivers in Canada and Brazil, to Time and Attendance identification for all employees of a Latin American capitol city, to protection of access to a State Governor’s Situation Room, Ultra-Scan’s reliable, user friendly ultrasonic readers serve a wide range of populations in diverse environments.  This unique technology, in a special prototype product, is providing the US Law Enforcement Community the means to obtain fingerprint image detail that will open the door to the next level of performance in criminal identification.

Similarly, the Ultra-Scan AFIS image processing and matching algorithms and special tools are installed and functioning at high levels of performance around the world, delivering the superior performance that comes from a legacy of more than twenty-five years experience in digital imaging and image processing.

Ultra-Scan’s new Automatic Multi-modal Biometric Identification System (AMBIS), developed from a long legacy of applying non-linear fusion techniques, enables Ultra-Scan to evaluate and combine multiple biometrics for optimal results, based on sophisticated measurement and analysis of performance of biometric components and combinations.  The AMBIS has been used to evaluate and plan multi-modal biometric solutions for national security and is now ready to be applied commercially.
